VULNERABILITY STUDY
EDITORIAL DESIGN
This visual essay was composed by three different visual outputs, a publication, a video and some additional posters. This idea for this visual essay came from a previous project of mine, in which I studied the relation between female bodies and our generation. In this visual essay I focused more in an intimate point of view, our relationship with our own bodies, how we deal with society’s view, and how that affects us in our personal growth.
I collaborated with photographers, illustrators, and writers, although out the project. There is poetry, original pictures and drawings. The publication plays with textures, see through effect achieved with tracing paper, holes in the pages, and different sizes pages, conniving them to achieve the effect of different layers of a person and its vulnerability. In addition to complete the project, the video of one of the models ripping her attire off as a demonstration of the sexualisation of the female body by society and how we grow up with that idea in mind. From the pictures to the text to the video, its unified by the main concept, and same aesthetic.
